Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight win streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her adversaries in the very first round in all the fights. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, beating Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in the year 2015. Aspen joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in first round, via a TKO. Invicta 16 saw Aspen move up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used her superior wrestler skills to knock down McGill and then ended the fight with a third-round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy in her catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd didn't make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she ended her fight with a TKO. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds and ended her win streak.
